Students take part in State Honours Ensemble Programme

Six very talented musicians from Saint Stephen’s College enjoyed a challenging State Honours workshop week at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University in the second week of their spring holidays.

Each year, the State Ensemble Honours Programme (SHEP) brings together the finest young musicians under the tutelage of a team of eminent international and national conductors, in a world-class environment. Its pursuit of excellence defines it as one of the highest quality performance avenues available to young ensemble-based instrumentalists in Queensland.
The programme sees voice, string, wind, brass and percussion students take part in an intensive four-day programme that culminates in a Gala Concert in the Conservatorium Theatre, Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, South Bank. Saint Stephen’s College was represented by Andress Obenza, Tabatha Ashmore, Mitchell Hobbs, Matthew Thompson, Jin You and Naomi Lorimer. Well done!
