Year 7 Camp, Canberra
On Monday 9 July, 109 Year 7 students left Saint Stephen’s at 6.00 am to travel down to Coolangatta airport where we caught a plane to Sydney.
After a scenic drive around the sights of Sydney and lunch near Mrs Macquarie’s Chair we travelled to Canberra. For the next four days we visited the National Parliament, The War Memorial, the National Library, the National Gallery and the National Museum of Australia and Questacon. On Thursday 12 July the students were excited to travel up to the snow.
Everyone had a great time playing and tobogganing in the snow. We travelled home on Friday afternoon after a very busy and fun week.
Teachers were Dan Saw, Mick Skehan, Sam Cleary, Mark Rees, Melissa Tronc, Libbette Winter and Gaye Affleck.
