Saint Stephen's College educates for the future, not just the present.

Michael Baruch graduated from Saint Stephen's College in 2002. He joined the Royal Australian Navy in 2004 . He is currently Commcen Supervisor on HMAS Sydney. This is the lead warship of the Eastern Fleet. As Commcen Supervisor he manages all communication for the ship, and communication between the ship and the fleet. He administers all of the IT networks on board and all communication including encrypted data, Morse code by light, signal flags and much more. His experiences to date include being part of a hydrographic survey crew, being part of the crew that salvaged the Black Hawk that crashed off HMAS Kanimbla in late 2006, working at the Fleet Information Systems Support Organization and serving on a number of warships. He is also a ship's diver, Military Fitness Leader and is in charge of a Fire Fighting Team. His travels have taken him to Singapore, Pinang, Malaysia, Cambodia, Noumea, Thailand, Samoa, Hawaii and Papua New Guinea.
