Year 6 Camp – Cairns

Our Year 6 students are enjoying their camp in Cairns. They visited Hartley’s Crocodile Adventure Park and Mossman Gorge. At Hartley’s, they had a caged boat tour amongst some savage crocodiles which was very exciting! They also learned about these fascinating creatures at the Crocodile Feeding Show and got up close and personal with some koalas, wallabies and kangaroos.

At Mossman Gorge the students were treated to a ‘Smoking Ceremony’ and ‘Welcome to Country’, by an Indigenous guide from the region.

On a guided walk, they learned about how our Traditional Owners use their land, taking only what they need.
