Our Commitment Statement to Child Safety
All children and young people who come to Saint Stephen’s College have a right to feel and be safe. We are committed to providing a child safe and child friendly environment, where children and young people can actively participate in decisions that affect their lives.
We have zero tolerance for abuse and other harm and are committed to acting in students’ best interests and keeping them safe from harm.
The College regards its child protection responsibilities with the utmost importance and is committed to providing the necessary resources to maintain a child safe culture including culture safety and ensure compliance with all relevant child protection laws and regulations.
Each member of the College community has a responsibility to understand the important and specific role that they play individually and collectively to ensure that the wellbeing and safety of all students is at the forefront of all that they do and every decision that they make.

The College encourages all members of our community to speak up if they have concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a child. All concerns are taken seriously and managed promptly, confidentially and in accordance with legislative requirements.

Community Responsibilities
To support the safety and wellbeing of all students and staff, all visitors to Saint Stephen’s College are required to:
- Sign in at Reception upon arrival
- Register using the College’s visitor management system
- Wear a visitor identification badge at all times while on campus
- Sign out at Reception when departing the College grounds
These measures help ensure the College is aware of all individuals on site at any given time and support our commitment to maintaining a safe, secure and well-managed campus environment.
As part of the enrolment process, Parents and Carers acknowledge and agree to the College’s policies and expectations in relation to child safety, student wellbeing and respectful conduct. View the contract here
