Sport is an important part of the complete educational experience for all Saint Stephen’s College students. Through sport, the College encourages all students to strive to achieve their personal best.

The College is committed to providing students with a wide range of sporting opportunities and has a rich history of sporting achievements including multiple premiership winning teams and individuals who have represented their nation on the world stage.

Inter-house Sport

Each student is allocated to a 'House Team' and has a number of opportunities to compete in inter-house sports carnivals throughout the year; including cross country, athletics and swimming. The Inter-house Carnivals serve as part of the selection process for students who represent Saint Stephen's at the Inter-school (APS) Carnivals.

Inter-school and Representative Sport

Saint Stephen's College is a member of the Associated Private Schools (APS), which is a cluster of eight independent schools. The APS Inter-School Sports competition gives students from Year 4 onwards the opportunity to compete in their choice of sport against the other schools in the cluster.

Optima Sporting Programs

Students from Year 4 through to 8 are selected to be a part of this program. The aim of this program is to develop the key components of athletic development and proper movement techniques in line with the goals of Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD).
