Consolidations Program

Year 4 to Year 6

The Saint Stephen’s College Consolidations Program guides and supports the education and wellbeing of our students in Years 4, 5 and 6.

Our teaching team provides supportive, caring and inquiry-based learning environments to meet the diverse needs of the students in their care.
All students in the Consolidations Program study the core subjects of Mathematics, English, Science, History, Geography and Digital Technologies, as outlined in the Australian Curriculum. Specialist teachers enhance the core curriculum with lessons in Spanish, Japanese, Physical Education, Music and Art. Ample opportunities are provided for students to investigate and apply their knowledge and skills in real-life situations.

Because students work at their own ability level and experience success at different rates and times throughout their learning journey, the Consolidations staff provide learning experiences which support and extend students’ individual needs.

Students in our Year 5 and 6 classes are part of our College BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop) program, where teachers use technology to enhance and further personalise the learning experience.  The Year 4 classes access these programs through class sets of laptops.

Students in the Consolidations Program also enjoy camps, APS Sports, and participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities and events throughout the year.

Our aim is to create an environment where enriched and inclusive learning experiences build upon the foundational concepts and encourage personal success for all students.
