Junior City Council Breakfast

Our staff and student representatives and College Principal, Ms Kim Cohen recently attended Mayor Tom Tate’s Junior City Council 30 year breakfast celebration.

This celebration acknowledged the growth in the inaugural City’s Junior Council Program, which was founded in 1993. The first Junior Council Program involved 17 student representatives, today the program involves 120 students and 30 local schools in South East Queensland.

These opportunities provide our students to build relationships within our community, whilst working with council staff to support young people, including youth hubs, Active and Healthy and NaturallyGC Programs.

We are beyond honored to be apart of such an amazing initiative.
