Barefoot in the Park
As part of Under 8s Week, students in Prep to Year 3 participated in our annual Barefoot in the Park morning, which honours all the fun of being a child and learning through play.
Barefoot in the Park is traditionally held during Children’s or Under 8s Week. Schools, child care centres, community groups, churches libraries, businesses and federal, state anf local government agencies all celebrate in many ways, with Barefoot in the Park events being just one of these.
The Foundations Program children, parents, special friends and staff came together to celebrate the right of children to enjoy childhood and to demonstrate their talents, skills and abilities.
Teachers organised amazing activities in the east and Prep playgrounds including hair styling, dress-ups, bubble blowing, face painting, craft, and biscuit decorating!
Huge thanks goes to all of the staff involved in the organisation, set up and running of the day and the Year 11 ambassadors and parent volunteers who came to lend their helping hands. The weather was glorious and there was fun, laughter, and happy faces all around as the students celebrated, with their shoes on, in the playground.
